Preview Hour vs. Regular Auction
The Preview Hour starts at 5:30. The Preview Hour ticket provides you with a specialty appetizer and cocktail pairing, the opportunity to start bidding on silent auction items immediately, and a special live auction opportunity to bid on the 'Golden Ticket'! The winner of the 'Golden Ticket' gets to immediately pick one item from all the silent auction offerings, including class baskets! Of course the Preview Hour Ticket gets you into the regular auction as well.
Regular Auction starts at 6:30 and your ticket includes delicious food and drink provided by Twain's Brewpub & Billiards, silent and live auctions.
We will be using Mobile Bidding for the Silent Auction this year, so bring your smart phone or tablet. Don't have one? Don't worry--we will have Bid Buddies on hand to help make bids for you. And the Live Auction is still Live! When bidding, you will get a text message alerting you when you have been outbid. You can also set a maximum bid level and flag items to keep an eye on them. Be sure to check on the items with No Bids.
At Check In you will receive a link to the mobile bidding site and your bidder number on the back of your catalog. It is also recommended that your credit card be swiped at this time to speed up the check out process. If you don't win an item, your credit card WILL NOT be charged.
Silent Auction Items
Silent Auction items will consist of a wide variety of items, from vacation stays to gift certificates to pieces of art.
Live Auction Items
The Live Auction will include at least one class art project from each class, vacation getaways and the Fund-A-Need(click on the Fund-A-Need link for more information). When bidding on a live auction item, please hold your bidder number up towards the auctioneer. If a group is bidding collectively on an item, please designate one person to place your combined bid.
All items must be paid for by the end of the evening. For your convenience we gladly accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards.
Once you have checked out and paid for your items, you will be issued a receipt. You will then give your receipt to a runner who will bring you your items. If you need to leave early, you may pick up your items on Sunday, March 15, from 1-4pm in the FSA GYM or, for a small fee, pay to have items delivered.
