A Fund-A-Need is a request for donations to fund a particular item or program that The Friends School of Atlanta needs. This year it is for a professional sound system for the Community Meeting Room. The system will benefit the entire community—when we gather together during Silent Meeting, for special presentations, performances, plays, etc. This request is done during the live auction portion of the event.
Our goal is to raise a minimum of $20K for the Fund-A-Need. To do this we've created several financial levels at which you can give. These are: $1000, $500, $250, $100 & $50. Your donation is tax-deductible and will be put on your bidder number.
The process is very simple. When our auctioneer, Dean Crownover, calls out a level that you are comfortable with raise your bid paddle. When he calls out your number you can lower it. Once all the levels have been called he will reveal how much was raised. Last year we raised $14,400 in 5 minutes!
This is a pure donation and a great way to give without worrying about being in a bidding war.
